Nissan kill

Hey guys, thought I'd throw out a kill from x-mas eve. I'm heading into town to go to my churches christmas services with my brother in his '97 F-150 behind me. As I am rolling up to a stoplight just off of a highway I see an '02 nissan maxima rolling up beside me. So I think to myself, does he really wanna go? Well i jump on the gas a little, just giving an indication to him that he shouldn't be messing with a stang. I then see his car jumping up on me, so I stomp the gas, id say it was about a 15 punch when we started, up to about 70 I had him by about a car and a half, felt pretty good about it. :jeff:

Did you put a t56 or another 6 speed in your v6 or is that another car? Maximas aren't slow. I'll admit i've lost to a lot less than a newer maxima. :emb: Good kill.

EDIT - WHOA, borger? Is it in the middle of no where in west or northwest texas? i think my gf lived there and hated it to no end.

I have raced a 2002 maxima and they are no slow pokes. I have a 2002 5 speed V6 with x-pipe and Universal K/N system. They just take off to fast. You can stay with them for a bit then they just kick in the higher Rpm range. He says he has a V6 2003 auto.
Either the driver was really asleep or he gunned it withthe Maxima while he was already had a early start. But to a 70mph race isn't anything.

In my 02 GT I raced a 02 Maxima from hwy rolls when I was stock plus k&n and ran him every time. Since he kept coming at me I kept slowing down and letting him catch up then gunning it.

It was a lot quicker than I thought so it's good to hear that ya beat him in your 6. Good kill.

I would agree with you, but am not allowed to because I will get a warning and get banned

i agree... good kill..... really the only advantage is that they are a lot lighter than a stang.... a regular v6 coupe with a standard tranny weighs 3071 lbs add a bit more being you an auto.. but hey i heard a few people say that the 01' and up maxima is runnin 210 hp bone stock....so really good kill.. another one on the board for the sixers....my buddy got a 92' maxima and i raced him 4 cars off the line...so nissan has improved.... beware of the new nissan sentra VSPEC... unless you have good mods and quite a few of them, dont race... you will be embarrased.... good job!!!! every one drive safe on new years.. theres a lot of drunks and i dont want to hear of any mustangs gettin messed up!!!! later

and the maxima AND altima 3.5 are faster than the POS sentra

I passed a 350Z on E Loop 820 last week. I think the guy took offense becuase he chased me down. I waited till he got close and then grabbed 3rd and waved bye....

He kept comming and everytime I would let him get almost up to me before leaving him.

I think I hurt his feelings.
