When you say "Nitto 555E", are you referring to the Nitto 555 Extreme? If so, that's what I run on mine. Been more then happy with them. treads last quite a while; I did a lot of HW driving to SA when I lived in Austin. wet weather driving isn't too bad - although I can only compare to my original stockers (and for 6 months on 555R - drag radials). I forget if you have 16" or 17" wheels - If 17s, go with 275/40/17s on the rears, 245/45/17s on the fronts.

john they are 17's, and i forgot that the nittos run narrow so the 245's would be too narrow on the back, damnit

My drag radials work great for daily use. I have had 4 pairs, commute 100 miles on them per day.

With sets I highway commuted on I have gotten 20k out of them until I found them unsafe and sold them to someone who used them for track only use.

With sets I drove intown and drag raced ALOT I got 10k.

I hear stories of 3-5k and thats just rediculous. Someone cant drive.

I have never so much as gone sideways or lost control. In fact, with tread on them they channel water better than my BFG KDW or sumitumos. When I had a nail in the sumitumos, I had to use a bald set to commute and got caught in the rain. I had to do 45-55 in torrential rain. These tires were completely flat in the center and had been retired from daily use a year prior. No i didnt wreck or die or lose control. Just be smart
