Noise!!!!

OK my car is making some kind of noise it is some tapping kind of noise when i let off of the gas you can hear it. Me and my dad are thinking it is the u-joints, but im not sure what it is. It is a winding down kind of thing because when i stop it goes away so this is why we think it is the u joints, and also the car vibrates when im driving not horribly bad but i can feel it and i hate it. Anyways if this has ever happened to anyone before if they could hep me out por favor. Thanks

My 99 has been doing something like that too. It does not vibrate, but I hear a "clunk" when I tap on the gas. The tranny runs fine, I am hoping its the U-joints but have not checked.

Instead of paying, Stan sent the police a photograph of $100. Days later he got a letter from the police containing another picture............

There alot of problems with the tranny in that car...check on the corral , i think there is a huge thread about it... do you still hear the clunk when rolling with the clutch pushed..ie trans not engaged? you ds will still be turning..and maybe will be making the noise..from the u joints...

Well it turned out it wasn't the U-joints. I had my clutch replaced a while back and the idiot that did it didnt tighten the drive shaft to the rear end, I got under and looked at the bolts and I could screw in the bolts with my hand they were so loose. So I just tightened them and it is fine now.
