OBD code...

good and bad news.... I went to a local car show and won a 1st class award for 79 & up mustang class. and it was my first car show I put the stang in..... the bad.... I prepped/cleaned up my engine for the 2nd time in 3 years! Used engine degreaser, rags, and H20. Was very cautious not to wet the fuse box,alternator,etc... Also tried not to let water run near the spark plug alley when cleaning the valve covers. I had nightmares with my old 97GT. Water would leak into the spark plug holes and foul up the spark plug making the stang drive hidious for about 2 days. I would find coolant in the spark plug holes after yanking out the plugs. I'm thinking this is what happened to my 99 2valve b/c now the engine is idling and driving hidious. It's shooting consistent code P0305 even after clearing it. Someone please post meaning of code and suggestions on how to clear this mess.

I am thinking you have a weak coil then.

1,2,3,4 is passenger, 5,6,7,8 is driver.

96greengt and Aguilarf were right on the money. Yanked out coil on plug COP
for cylinder 5 yesterday after work. I measured 0.5 ohms resistance between primary terminals (as it should) then measured 8.89K ohm resistance between the secondary terminals (manual shows it should read around 5.5K ohms).
So I bought a new COP and installed it ...... cleared code P0305 and stang
now runs top notch again! hells yeah ..... thanks
