    OEM clutch Quadrant

I need some help/advice on replacing my factory quadrant with a new oem one. I am tired of replacing Steeda cables every 5-10K, going back to OEM. Anyone every replace the quadrant asm? I have new part but it does not look like I can slide it out without removing pedal asm.

    Thanks in advance.

maybe you could try a steeda double hook quadrant, the pedal asm. is not hard it took me ohhhh 3hrs at the most not knowing what i was doing. remove the drivers seat, remove the bottom dash piece that is under the steering wheel/coloum. loosen up the steering coloum. unbolt the 4 bolts that hold the pedal asm. to the master cylinder. un hook the clutch pedal safety switch,( looking at the dash straight on) there should be a pin at the top left that will need to be pulled out in order to slide the asm. off. then you can wiggle the asm. out it wont be easy but its not anything to get dscouraged about. if i missed something im sure these guys will fill in the blanks

Use an OEM cable and you wont have any more issues.....
Its not the quad its the cable that is your problem
As for reinstalling the OEM quad yes you will have to remove the pedal assy

    Ditto on that.

The aftermarket cable is what's causing all the problems. Get a stock cable and a firewall adjuster. Leave the aftermarket quadrant in there.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions. It has been a few days sense on the computer. So i bought a new quad from Ford, pulled the pedal asm, put in the new asm in and reinstalled the OEM cable. Clutch works great. anyone need a Steeda quad and adjuster...

Alot of peeps have issues with the aftermarket cables I have MGW quadrants and FW adj on 2 of our 3 stangs (3rd one is getting one soon as well.) with the OEM cables and never had any problems. The adjusters arent the issue its the aftermarket cables......

As long as you have a jack and a set of stands its easy. Disconnect the cable from the tranny, then get up under the dash and pull the other end off the quadrant.
