yeah. walmart and academy sell them. all you have to do is go to the hunting section, and tell them you want a license.

It's to give the poor bird a chance....or in another word.."sportsmanship."

Besides a license.. you need a "dove stamp" ~$7 and be HIP certified.

Plus...Every hunter born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, must successfully complete a Hunter Education Training Course. Minimum age of certification is 12 years and cost is $10.

Just to let you guys know that you can get a deferal for the hunter's safety course.It'll cost 10 bucks and it's only good for one time.Meaning you can't use the deferal again.Go to TPWD website.It has all the info you need.

im currently trying to find a good place that is inexpensive.

most places in this area are wanting $75+ for each person.

i'd like to keep it under $30 a person.

hopefully i'll have a place by tommorow, and we can get this meet going.

I dont think a dozen would be a problem, It is on a ranch outside of Kerrville, I would need a confirmation on how many peeps and when you want to have it before I contact the guy. We have had about 10 people out there and it was no problem.

Like I said in a different thread, we can have whomever wants to come out and hunt for a "LSS Dove Hunt Day" or whatever. After that I can accomodate 3-4 people hunting parties per scheduling.
