Oh my tranny!?!?!?

I have an automatic and in first gear it wont shift untill i hit 3k and then it shifts hard...i have had it flushed and all the good stuff and no one seems to know whats wrong with it. i usually just shift by hand in town or short distances but the other day i went against an LT1 and when i went to punch it from about 30 mph i got the jump and then my rpms went to 6000 and my speed fell as if i was in neutral or something. then when the rpms came down it caught and i was back to driving natural. then i pushed on it again today and the same thing happened. Any one wanna take a shot at this one it's so deppressing not knowing whats wrong with it or haveing the confidence to push it every now and then. thanks in advance-Nathan

you need to take it to a tranny shop... could be something like shift solonoid, could be something else.. i really have a minimal knowlege of transmissions... or maybe jody can chime in.. i believe he's certified in transmissions as well..
