    oh so close!!!!

Well our local mustang club had a track day and I decided to go have a ew runs. Last time I was out there I ran a 12.7 on street tires. Well after a few passes today I ran a 12.45@ 118 60ft 2.1 falken street tires. Was pleased with that for street tires. Well my buddy let me use his et streets and I ran a 12.08 @ 118 with 60 ft of 1.9. I wanted that 11 sec pass so bad but they closed the track earlier than expected. Weather was nice 51 and sunny. Track wasnt prepped that well but still good runs. I think i got a total of 10 passes in today it wasnt packed at all. Mostly mustangs out there a few corvettes and 1 new camaro ss getting spanked all day haha.

Congrats! If you improve on that 60ft even .1, you'll be in the 11's! With a little practice, you'll be there no problem.

With that speed, you're definitely in the 11's with a little more practice on that 60' - my 11.52 run was at 118mph.

    What was your MPH?
Edit: just read that again= with a 118mph, you should be running somewhere around a 11.65, providing everything was "perfect" on the run. go get em!

thats so odd you are just above the 11 second zone! especially on slicks!

I have a auto 01 "cobra" that only has 330rwhp and I run a 11.98 @ 112mph. The car could run better thanks to my "great" 1.780 60ft time, but i DD the car and didn't want to burn up the converter trying to launch over 2500. on that pass, i launched @ 3200 and thats about as comfortable as I got with it.

Your pushing almost 100 more rwhp so you SHOULD be in the mid/low 11's with some good driving and a properly working suspension to transfer the weight.

Runs 11.93's @ 114 mph. With 3300lbs~!

Best of luck getting into the 11's. A little more seat time and practice with the et streets you should be there.

That mph is there for mid-high 11's if you can just work on getting that 60' down.

slicks and a high launch rpm! LOL

or slicks, a tight converter and nitrous.

or slicks, a loose converter for just motor/turbo's.

beyond that, weight transfer really comes into play, but in the end, the more power you make, the lower the 60 you can theoretically get if everything is working "as advertised"

Try higher rpm, if you keep traction and the clutch holds, and if you don't break something :P Guys with auto trans have it easier, but can't launch too high with out a higher stall converter.

I would launch much higher than 3k with Et streets. Drop pressure to around 10psi before burnout and try 5k rpm instead.

Some BFG drag radials would be your best choice. Better bite than street tires but not too much, you'll still spin but it will help keep the weak OEM 28 spline axles from tuckering out so fast.
