Oil Cooler

Its not a secret that I dont know a thing about my motor. I just had got it back from a dealer up here after having the coolant system pressure tested. The guy said it was from an area up around the oil cooler. He said the area was too tight to be able to see it. (of course it wasnt a Ford Dealership) Can someone elaborate on this, or show a pic or something.
98 cobra btw

~teh thing is Im just so smart, im starting over

Cooler looks like below. Normally, they just leak oil (known for that too) and is a stupid design by Ford anyway. I don't have one on mine for that reason. It can be bypassed, it's just a PITA to get too.

Thanks for the pic. Is it safe to say that if I replace it that my leak would stop, or is there other factors involved?

Dunno, with out looking at it, hard to say. I'd say remove it completely. Where the oil filter mounts, that is the cooler.

You can always add a stop leak, but I don't condone that, but I have used it with good results.

I have an oil cooler, but it look's a little different than that one. Same function though just different design.

It's on the driver's side of the block if that help's to tell you where to look to see.

No, you can put it in the reservoir straight. Bars leak is good, but it is real clumpy. If you can find "liquid glass" (and not the polish) that works wonders.
