Just the adapter or are you doing a cooler/adapter as well?
Replacing or even installing is a snap really. 3 bolts hold it in place, the lower radiator hose is also connected to it. Drain the coolant, drain the oil, remove the filter, disconnect the lower hose, unbolt the 3 bolts, clean the surface, install new gasket..... reverse order to install..... easy.
