    oil spill affected corpus, port a or or padre island

    Im planning to take my girlfriend and her family down to the coast july 4th weekend. ive been going down there since i was a baby with my family and would liek to share it with my girlfriend.

    Is there any word of any afect on the coastline due to the oil spill? still safe to get in the water and fish?

    I far as I know and have been following, TX hasn't been affected. The gulfstream is taking it along the coastlines of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida.

    totally agree!! I love going to the coast as often as i can and just the thought of seeing a destroyed coast makes me angry.

    No oil or tar balls down here. Current is carrying everything towards the Atlantic away from Texas shores. I live about 5 mins from Port A.
