Oil type?

What oil does everyone use? I just did an oil change and used royal purple cause its supposed to be the best and free up some HP? Dont know if i'll get any HP out of it but it makes me feel better knowing i spent $38 for an oil change at home instead of paying like $15 bucks and have someone else do it. I also heard mobil 1 synthetic was supposed to be good.

I used Mobile 1 and a K&N Oil filter. Seems to run much smoother after that change... oppose to some random stuff the use at the oil change place.

I used to use royal purple, but it just got to damn expensive. Now i use Castrol high mileage.

I do have royal purple in my diff and tranny. When i put them in it shifted smoother and I got 2 more MPG.

I could feel it in the shifter. It had been a little balky in cold weather until the car warmed up. When i changed to royal purple I didn't have that problem anymore. And it just went into gear smoother.

Valvoline 10W40 conventional oil. 3,000 mile oil change intervals and engine had only 1/2 thousandths of cylinder wear in 165,000 miles.
