GT-40 302 block or rebuild?
|
yeah, Im not looking for an all out race performance carb, mine just took a shit and I need a new or rebuilt one, and I found out a 4brl carb adapter will work, that I won't need a 4brl intake.
holley's are good too. |

A 4bbl on a 2bbl intake with an adapter will work but you are wasteing your Money Ryan. It will not perform as it would with a 4 bbl intake as you are trying to stuff more air/fuel into the same small hole.
Come over this weekend and we can rebuild your 2 bbl it is a simple thing and I can learn ya on it. Save your money mang.

GT-40 302 block or rebuild?
|
Quote:
I do have a rebuild kit which I took it apart, replaced the valves, made sure the jets were clear and everything. put it back on and did the same damn thing, and I noticed fuel is not coming out of the driver side jet at all. so Idk what is wrong with it. Quote:

Ok, this is what Im going to do, I am purchasing an eldebrock performer 289 from MU and I found a carb spacer for $10 on ebay w/ free shipping. So I'll have a 600cfm 4brl carb w/ vacuum secondaries on top of the eldebrock performer 289.
hows that sound?? ![]() I can't wait to get the stuff, I'm so excited! |
