yeah, Im not looking for an all out race performance carb, mine just took a shit and I need a new or rebuilt one, and I found out a 4brl carb adapter will work, that I won't need a 4brl intake.
holley's are good too.

A 4bbl on a 2bbl intake with an adapter will work but you are wasteing your Money Ryan. It will not perform as it would with a 4 bbl intake as you are trying to stuff more air/fuel into the same small hole.
Come over this weekend and we can rebuild your 2 bbl it is a simple thing and I can learn ya on it.

Save your money mang.

well, it had sucked in some water from when my car overheated and the radiator was spitting out vapor. and it started to pop when I try'd to give it gas, once it warm up in park it wouldn't pop, but whenever I put it in drive it'd pop like a son of a bitch and i would push the pedal and nada, it'd sit at 1k rpms for about 10 secs and than start to accelerate, its not my timing, I just timed it with a light(which Don sry didn't run by friday but I will this friday) and my motor is in perfect running condition.
I do have a rebuild kit which I took it apart, replaced the valves, made sure the jets were clear and everything. put it back on and did the same damn thing, and I noticed fuel is not coming out of the driver side jet at all. so Idk what is wrong with it.

Ok, this is what Im going to do, I am purchasing an eldebrock performer 289 from MU and I found a carb spacer for $10 on ebay w/ free shipping. So I'll have a 600cfm 4brl carb w/ vacuum secondaries on top of the eldebrock performer 289.
hows that sound??
I can't wait to get the stuff, I'm so excited!

Ya I would have to agree with that, you wont get any performance or economy with a 4bbl adapter on a 2bbl intake. I would rebuild the 2bbl until you can afford or find a 4bbl.
