Paint 03 GT

Whats it going to cost me to have my 03 GT sprayed single color? Dont really care WHAT color, in case someone wants to do a job on the side...has some paint left over and laying around. Stripes would look nice to. What kind of a price range am I going to be looking at? Where would I go to get it done? AGain, anyone on here want to make some money on the side?

For my coupe, No body work done, everything taken off, hood, trunk, doors and body molds, to be painted blue with some flake in it, i think ran me 1800? something like that... I could be wrong. it's been a while.

My daily recleared and had ghost flames painted and blended into it with a fade from the front, Comp orange. 04 with a TON of clear sprayed onto it. was around 3000...

Edit: just out of my opinion and mine only, I would say, for it to look good, 2000plus

both cars were wet sanded and buffed after paint ( just don't know how well )

How do you not know if it was done well? Do you like how the paint looks? Was it not glossy, kinda dull? Was there still orange peel? HAve you found alot of dirt particles?

You should elaborate a little more.

There are many different levels of "paint jobs".

Cheap $1,000.00 or less--Maaco or Scheib--better off doing it in your garage--no dents, no disassembly, no sanding,no buff. But hey it may shine from across the parking lot & may last a year or so.

Average-- $1,500.00-$3,000.00--disassembled (handles, trim, molds, etc) proper sanding, good quaility paint (Dupont,PPG, Sikkens), probably buffed if needed. This would be for an average RE-PAINT (not like factory or restored).

Above Average--$2,000.00-$4,000.00 same as above but color change, maybe do door jams, requires a little more disassembly, Probably buff final product to "slick" it out a little.

Restoration/custom--$6,000.00-$10,000.00---pretty much full disassembly & very few defects what so ever..

Meaning I didn't have any orange peel except for one spot, and when pointed out they fixed it, A simple hand wax makes it shine and all you see is very fine swirls marks and you have to look for them, I like how the paint looks. Haven't found any dirt particles, and the paint is quiet glossy, Sorry I didnt give exact details, I was at school. When i received the car back from paint, I could see my own reflection like it was a mirror, except it had a blue tint to it, Ill see if I can find a reflection shot.
This was the day I got it back from the shop. And the only Thing I did to the picture was put a name and border around it.

Yes I was missing a body mold at the time I got the car back from the shop. It was fixed the same week.

This was Feb the weekend after the superbowl this year, just after a simple wash and wax. And this car use to sit outside on the curb 24/7 ( like in the first pic ) and be daily driven everyday.

Just to give you a basic idea.

Edit, My daily with a cheap camera the night I received it with the paint,
And a few other pictures, And this one sits on the curb 24/7 and I do not take as good car of this one as I should. But when washed it looks good.

These two are done with the can Canon Rebel I have.
