Question Pinging

I have a 2000 v6 that will not stop pinging. I replaced the fuel filter, put a K&N, cleaned the injectors and throttle body and recently replaced the MAF. I have also started using 93 octane gas but the car will not stop pinging. Is there anything else I can do? I also had one of the Firestone "pinging treatments" performed to release any build up. Thanks in advance.

I have seen this problem a lot lately on the 99-03 3.8's with a lot of miles on the clock. Worn valve springs are the cause and usually a complete valve job along with new springs fix the problem.

But you may want to take it in for diagnostics to make sure there isnt a problem with the timing control.
