i've always used platinum plugs in them, however, you are correct, gap spec is .052 to .056

If you have any kind of mods, you can close the gap a tad.

.52 is a good start point.

i was wondering about gap with mods. so if u mod pretty extensivly, like say your car, would u close the gap further like to say 40s?

Mine with my mods and compression are at .38 as of now, when I port the upper and lower intakes, I will switch to a colder plug and gap to .35 and then re-dyno.
I use copper plugs, I have the NGK TR-5 now, switching to the TR-6 soon.

iv wondered this for a while aswell. What are colder plugs. does it litteraly mean the spark is not as hot(temp wise)?

and why would u need to have a colder spark if this was the case? i know ppl with juice switch to colder plugs sometimes.

Too long to explain that to make you understand, I suggest run a google and educate yourself.

I need a colder plug cuz of my way high compression.

sweet. it all went really well except for 1 plug that i couldnt get. its the passenger side second from the back. the fuel line connects to the rail right there and i couldnt get my socket in. do i have to pull the rail for that 1 plug?

No, a little extension works easily.
