Polishing Stainless Steel

Does anyone have tips on polishing stainless steel? The interior lip of my exhaust tips (SLP Double-walled) have become black with build up. I stripped that off with a wire brush attachment using my dremel and now I want to smooth it back out and polish it so that it shines again. Is there any compound that will simplify this process?

You should be able to get some SS polish at a boat sealer or maybe Wally world. You will have a hard time if u scratched it with the wire brush.

Yeah, it is.. It doesn't look bad as it is, way better than it did black, but it has the 'brushed' look. I figure it will take a semi-abrasive compound to smooth it out first, then polish.

I'm not too worried about it, it is the inside lip after all. Just wondering if there was a way to restore it to original.

dremel makes a polishing kit works awesome..........has a drumb like fitting and use the polishing compound at the same time.............
