Popping clutch

I have a 00' 5 speed V6.
About two days ago I started hearing and feeling a POP:omg: whenever I press the clutch peddle all the way down.
I can still shift smooth before the "POP" possision but pressing it only half way is sometimes uncomfortable.
Does anyone have an idea what this may be?

this same shit happened to me before larry took care of my clutch. larry (12second5.0) might be able to answer this, if it was the same problem i was having. i think he said it was something to do with the adjustable cable and quadrant i had. are your quadrant and cable stock or aftermarket, and have you ever had them replaced?

My 88 is doing the same thing too. I have a Steeda quadrant and a D&D firewall adjuster with the stock cable. Either the cable is binding up or the clutch fork is binding up on mine I think.

The pivot ball inside the bellhousing is the most likely cause.

That would make since since I have a pretty stiff clutch.

Everything is stock and has never been replaced.
