Port Aransas

I am wanting to take a vacation around my birthday as long as I don't have to work. I'll be in the 94 or my Land Rover if I come.

I'd like to take a weekend and just go down there and hang out. Any suggestions on what to do down there?

thanks
-James

I went there for the first time but didn't stay long. We did eat at Moby Dicks which had some awesome fish. Here are some pics of the beach:

We stay at the best western which was pretty cool, it was only 1/4 mile from the beach.

Not much to do in Port A except the Beach or Fishing. Corpus is close if you want Shopping malls Movie theaters etc.... Port A is strictly a beachtown....

I live on Padre Island and would suggest you stay at one one of the places here instead of Port A. It's more central to the beach and CC. As for Port A; there's good food, bars/music, beach combing, and fishing. CC has a great aquarium, more good food, bars/music, bayfront, Hooks baseball, etc. When do you plan to visit, what are your interests?

I'll be there around 10-05-06, but like I said, as long as I can get off work.

Main interests are anything and everything. lol. If that doesn't simplify it enough for you, women. LOL!

Port Royal Ocean Resort & Conference Center That is THE place to stay, and off season its pretty reasonable. I've been staying there for as long as I can remember, they always treat you right, they have great facilities and an awesome pool. When you are in Port A make sure to check out Beemans Coffee (Best coffee/breakfast) on the island, and then one night go eat at "Seafood and Spaghetti works." They have some amazing food, great service and its well worth the wait for seats. The Dome Steak is AMAZING fyi.
