power lock actuators
How are these removed? I have a bad passenger side actuator and need to replace it.

Holy crap....

Remove the door panel, roll the window up, there is a rivet in the back corner end that secures the actuator in place. Pop the rivet out, unplug the electrical connector, swing the actuator arm off the lock bar and your done. It is easier then it looks, only problem is you need a 1/4 inch rivet and gun to secure it back in place.

The only thing that connects to the latch is the actuator rod itself. The housing of the actuator sits in the very end corner of the door (close to the opening of the door) with a 1/4" rivet.
I have replaced hundreds of actuators in my career as a tech and had 8 years of that with Ford.
