Well yesterday around 430 or so Austin comes home with his hand over his eye crying and carrying on. I ask him what is wrong and he takes his hand off his eye and it is filled with blood. Not dripping blood but the internal sack in his eye is filled with blood.

Well I ask him and his friends what happened, and they respond with, we were playing tag in my friends house and he was chasing me and I turned to see where he was at and wwhen I turned back around I ran into the lightswitch. ( i know it sounds stupid but they all confirmed)

So, we immediately take him to the North Central, where the Dr. is like omg.
In turn that made Jen pretty uneasy, so they put some drops in his eye and tell him he cant do anything, except laydoown and watch some T.V. They make an appointment with a specialist for us @ 5 oclock today.

We go to the specialist and he runs all kinds of tests. He has a tear in the sack in front of his lens which is causing the bleeding. Dr. tells us that the next four or five days are crucial, no movement at all just laying there watching T.V., kinda hard for a kid with ADHD. Anyways the Dr. tells us that if the clot that is holding back the blood right now moves away and it starts bleeding again Austin could lose his eye. So we were like holy shit, kinda freaks ya the hell out when your kid has potential to lose his eye.

Now he has an appointment to get a cat scan tommorrow. DR. thinks he might have a slight fracture in the bone in his eye socket. Great news just keeps pouring in. Well that is all I have to share for now, but I will keep yall informed.

That sucks, but as the saying goes, boys will be boys and there is no way in hell you can always be there keeping an eye on them every second of the day. I feel for Austin and your guys as parents. I always think the worst when I see Justin doing stupid things myself and try to prevent things, but we as parents just can't. I sure hope all goes well and you guys get good news from this, it would really suck for things to turn the wrong direction for him.
I'll keep him in my thoughts and hope all goes well for him and you and Jen..

If it makes you feel any better... about 8 years ago my lil' bro flung a novelty giant pencil at me, the eraser tip flew off and nailed me right in the eye giving me what they call a "hyphema" which is basically just busted blood vessels in the eye, but it hurt like a mofo, and caused me to end up having corrective lenses so hopefully it's not as bad as it sounds for him.

That's aweful guys, Austin is in my prayers. They didn't give you guys any sedatives or anything? Or is that wrong? I would think you would want to force a chill out on him in that situation, time to stock up on childrens tylenol. Again, so sorry to hear about it, he's in my prayers.

damn, this happened to me when i was younger too, onyl it was cuz of a baseball bat lol those few days suck cuz you cant do shit, but just motivate him that he needs to keep his face fresh for all the ladies down the road lol
