Still have to install the transmission, rearend and wiring. I hope to run all the fuel lines and fuel system along with install the rear suspension and rearend by this weekend. If I get the time I will try and install the transmission and start on all the electrical wiring too.

Finally got around to messing with the fuel tank and fuel system today. I had to remove the old EFI fuel pump and install a tank pick up with -an fittings. Decided to clean up the fuel tank cover while I had it off. Also, had a hell of a time trying to figure out where to mount the fuel pump and fuel filter. Along with how to run the fuel line. I think it came out OK. I'm not to thrilled about how and where I mounted the fuel filter, but hey it will work for now.

Also, got around to hanging the GMS Tubular U/L Control Arms that I took off of my car. I think they cleaned up pretty good. I even cleaned the stock springs and painted them with a fresh coat of gloss black.

Here are pics of the rearend that will be going into the car. Nothing special. Still has the stock 2.73 gears. Tomorrow I plan on cleaning it up and giving it a fresh coat of paint before I slide it under the car.

Here are some pics of the rearend after I cleaned it up and gave it a fresh coat of paint.

And before anyone says anything. I did not paint the drums since I will be replacing them.

The piece de' resistance :

There you have it! The driveline for the most part is finished. I just have a few odds and ends to take care of under the car before I set it back on the ground. My goal was to have the driveline finished by Saturday. Looks like I finally got ahead of schedule.

Thanks! Where are the pics of your car with the new shoes? My car is down right now getting some new suspension along with a heart transplant. I have been taking my time with my car since I have so many projects. I bought another 86 GT (Extremely cheap!!!!!)

We are actually trying to get my wife's finished first.

Stole the front runners off of my drag car to get an idea of how the car is going to look.
