Thanks. It's a work in progress. I read about a guy who built his motor for 2 years and it turned over on the first key turn, I hope I have the same luck!

Just picked up the shortblock today, got everything honed, balanced, etc. can't wait to get this thing in and running. so who wants to help? (free beer) lol

continuing from last year....

Got some more patrs and will be back on track soon. My heads are on the way to my house and the intakes are here and ported. I still need a couple parts, mainly a cam, oil pan, gaskets, etc.. Look to see this built v6 up and running soon.

Should put down 250ish/270ish at the wheels, but that is only until I get blown. Then we will be looking at 400/500 ish...

i was under the impression you were going boosted to start with.... it's not gonna run as well as you hope with that low compression... i've known several people that ended up being slower due to low compression in "anticipation" for boost

It will be fine, I hope it makes more than the 185 hp I'm at now haha. or else I will be pissed.
I trust the people who I ordered the shortblock from and what they recommended me with, they would not be the best brand in v6 aftermarket if they wern't good. After all it's not that low, 8.8:1 is pretty close to 9:1. If I would of went lower per say 8.5:1 then I would be worried about it but at this point I think it will turn out fine.

I actually just pulled the stock 3.8 yesterday, and the built motor will be going in later this week.
