Project empty pockets aka 97 cobra

Since everyone else is making one i figure i would post up one for my money pit. A little info about this car I bought this car BONE STOCK about a year ago after selling my V6 mustang. I am going to list every mod no matter how trivial of a mod it may be. I will try to keep this thread as updated as possible, with pics.

Current Mods

Drivetrain:
K&N Filter
MGW short throw shifter
Optima Red Top
FRRP 4.10 Rear axle gears
FRPP King Cobra clutch

Exhaust:
Bassani O/R X-pipe
Magnaflow Catback

Suspension:
FMS C-Springs
Mac UCA/LCA's

Interior:
Summit Racing seats
Entire Mach 460 removed and replaced with
Alpine IVA-D310
Arc Audio Components(4)
Alpine MRP-F240
Alpine MRD-M605
Alpine Type R 10" sub(1) in box built to specs
Custom Rear seat delete with amp rack

Appearance:
BBS RK rims wrapped in Nitto 275/35/18 Tires
Blue Oval Industries headlights
Stock Spoiler Removed
5% Tint all the way around
"COBRA" rear bumper inserts
Black taillight bezels

Other:
Autometer Phantom Oil Pressure & Water Temp Guages





Eventually

Drivetrain:
Procharger P1SC with 3 core intercooler(After Motor)
New(to me) Teskid Block
New Pistons/rods(8.5:1ish) compression
Ported B heads/intake
cams
T-56
Slicks for the track

Exhaust:
Long Tube headers(probably BBK)
O/R X-pipe for said long tube headers
Probably will switch to Bassani Mufflers

Suspension:
UPR Tubular K-Member
Strange 10 ways
MM FLSFC's
MM Rear UCA/LCA's
MM C/C Plates

Appearance:
Two Tone paint Rio Red bottom/Black Metallic Top
S-281 Wing

when all is said and done it should be sitting 450RWHP before heads and cams, and thats on the stock bottom end

Yea do it if you want, they're an appearance mod just like alot of things. More appearance than function. Either way I really like your car

I'd say leave the 4.10's with the T56. The difference in first gear of the T56 to your 5spd is going to be a big enough difference. Plus with that long 6th gear, cruising on the highway with 4.10's wont be a problem

Well since the stranges are on backorder until DECEMBER i ordered my drilled/slotted rotors as well as some competition engineering FLSFC's and my autometer oil pressure and water temp guages

John, they are very nice...I HIGHLY recommend them. I run them on the Bucket and I love them both on the street and on the track.
