some more updates: I just bought some heads that came off a 2001 GT from a fellow board member here. In due time, they will be ported and polished. Future plans call for installing them, upgrading Stage 2 N/A and seeing where the intake market stands at that point (This is a few months off).

I'm 64 days out from returning to Texas and I already have plans for the car:

- getting the Maximum Motorsports LCA's fixed. They didn't go on because one of the arm's is missing a part of it's mount. I have to dig through my e-mails, find where I ordered them from and get the ball rolling on getting those puppies replaced on the car where they belong
- getting her ready for the trek to California. It's a 1200 mile drive to "home". I did alot of general maintenance before I stored her and had some things done while I was here. New tires, fresh brake pads and rotors (maybe Cobra upgrade?) are in order.
- That crappy tint is finally coming off for something alittle more quality!
- I found a Trick Flow plenum at a really good price so I'm watching how this works out

Ok, tech question time: when choosing a cold air intake, does what material it's made of really matter? I would imagine that a metal one (BBK, C&L) would suffer from heat soak more than a plastic one (Densecharger, S&B Intake).....

Metal and aluminum will have heat soak, yes, aluminum being slightly less. the JLT is one of the better ones in my opinion.... <---- MY opinion.

The JLT is made out of PVC pipe. 4 inch inlet all the way to the turn and necks down to a 3 inch.
I bought mine off a board for 100 bucks and he threw in a Pro 5.0 shifter for free... woohoo!

the JLT looks like a quality piece, definitely one I'm considering. Plus, I figure one of the benefits with a plastic one is easier to drill in the event I want to nitrous to my car

errr, nevermind... for $400 more than a full set of tires, I can upgrade to 18" FR500's with tires mounted and balanced.

so, yeah, I'm going on a spending spree again I just picked up a used Accufab plenum and TB for $215 off another site. In a couple weeks I'll be ordering my new 18x9 and 18x10 Saleen rims. Whether they'll be Chrome or Hypercoat is up in the air. What is definite is that I'm going full Saleen replica on my GT now

Sweet, but one thing, a new Accufab runs that price more or less Matt. Not that they go bad or anything, just my 2 cents.

the plenum usually runs the same price, especially if it's Accufab

soo I held true to this list for the most part. Waiting for me at my uncle's are used Cobra brakes, used Accufab TB and plenum and I'll be picking up a Mach 1 grille delete and chin spoiler from 5.0 Resto when I pick up my new rims

so, she's running a bit warm lately. Does Fluidyne make a larger radiator for my year stang yet?

Oh yeah, this Accufab plenum and TB and MM LCA's are looking pretty tempting.

Yeah, they make a larger radiator, but it comes with a premium price tag for Fluidyne. Check out this radiator but they are out of stock.
The larger radiator made a HUGE difference on my temps.

And if you want to run the stock PI intake on yours, I can get you a sweet deal on a new one from my shop. Mine let go and was gonna cost 210, but the PI is a higher price, but not that much.

damn, I wish that radiator was in stock. I think I may have a PI intake off of the classifieds here, I'll let you know. I guess when I do the intake, I might as well do the Accufab.
