Project name unknown

I am planning on getting a 12 psi procharger on my s197 v6. that is the 1st stage. then second stage is a 2500-3000 rpm stall torque converter. 3rd stage is a detroit trutrac with 3.73 gears. these are the performance mods i am planning.

so far the procharger stage is inprocess but delayed due to UPS damaging and losing parts by a box mishandling and it tearing wide open and having to go through a claim. hopefully have it in before christmas.

the torque converter is in my garage.

the detroit trutrac is in someone else's vehicle still but will have it as soon as he can get some help getting it out.

lastly the 3.73 gears i am gonna save up some more because i know as soon as i get them i will want to get them installed and that is another cost bc i wont do that install myself.

my goall is to hit 12s minimum

oh naw i didnt buy chris' his is a beast though. i got my procharger off of ebay for like 2800. whoever gets chris' is gettin one sick PC setup.

thanks on the sound. i get compliments and jealous friends of how good it sounds lol. it took a lot of research to figure out what i wanted for the right sound. the charger should help fill in for more rumble but it will still get that rasp at high rpms

haha you and me both brotha. an update supposedly it is possible UPS is just gonna pay out for a brand new kit since they jacked up the box with all the hardware and intercooler. i hope that is true then i can do the install with the stuff in its respectable bag rather than in huge ziplock

well thats my assumption the truth to that has yet to be found. it seems that UPS may have issued him a check and now he wont answer my calls so im getting nervous. ill probably give it til the end of the week then have bank of america repeal the charge so if anything ill use teh repealed cash for the missing and damaged parts. of course that is if it gets to that point

well ladies and gentlemen i have run into a brick wall and gone splat on this project. basically the seller only put $600 of insurance on the box and well thats all i am getting for the damaged and missing pieces and parts. i would say that doesnt even cover replacing the intercooler. so now i am in a tight spot of dishing out the extra cash to buy the parts to complete the kit , say screw it and sell the remains of the kit , or possibly go after the seller to reimburse me for the parts that the $600 does not cover because those parts were obviously not only worth $600 ugh what a mess

talk to the seller. wasnt it one of the mods on 4.0 or something? get that straightened out because it is their fault not yours.

naw its wasnt anyone from the collective. it was some dude off ebay. so far i placed claims with ebay, paypal, and bank of america. lets see who comes through on this. i have contemplating saying screw it. i was suggested that rather than try to replace the intercooler to get a radiator comb to straighten out the fins. if that works i would say that would save me $800. then i just gotta figure out what bolts i need and what not. mainly i nee dthe brackets for power steering and the inter cooler top mount and side mount ones

i say get the charge refunded and give the guy the $600 and the kit back... what you got of it anyway... no sense in getting too screwed

thats another option i was contemplating. i think im a lil stubborn right now bc i really wanted to PC my ride and at such a low cost you cant find anywhere. ugh man if things get ugly i may do just that of retruning it otherwise i may just go for the other option of straightening the fins and replacing the brackets missing

what size is your pulley

well i was just doing all the measuring of the stuff that did make it in the kit from the ups disaster and well the pulley the seller claims is a 12psi is on the procharger. but as far as i can tell its the 3.4" pulley and as far as i know that is the 9-10psi pulley isnt it? or am i wrong. the kit came witha 3" and 2.3" idler pulley would the idler pulley sizes make the difference in how much boost it makes? sorry im such an FI newbie
