You say "Stage 1". does this mean there's plans on a motor rebuild in the future? Possibly bored/stroked 4.2 or 4.3? Gimme food for thought homez

My only addition to is that if the drag radials hook well, then they could pose more of a problem. However, since they do have less of a contact patch, they are easier to spin on you as well and that will just make you look dumb. LOL

What is the E.T.A. on the car Jeff?
well yea obviously my statement is assuming they hook.. you're not gonna twist axles or break control arms if you can't get traction...(other than wheel hop situations of couse.. had to add it or someone will try to say i'm wrong.)

I went ahead and installed my GT rear bumper yesterday. I figured I would go ahead and get it done before sending it to THR so that it won't be a hassle for them...

during:

after:

Big thanks again to Mitch and Margo for giving me the hookup on the bumper.

yessir. THR will be installing a full stainless steel exhaust, from Longtubes to tips.

I just went ahead and installed the bumper instead of sending it up there for them to do. I don't drive the car enough to worry about people noticing that it doesn't have dual exhaust yet.

I would assume the same things, i dont think hes gonna do all those big mods with out doing the little things like dualing it out for better air flow. Nice car coming along bandit, love the s197 body style. I have been debating wheter i should take out part of my savings acct and get it super/turbo/pro charged. I think Im gonna focus on styling and bolt ons though. Im still getting use to the jump from my v6 190hp to the v8 300hp (crank). Plus if i wanna go fast ill just jump on the Ninja. Your jump in hp is going to be crazy from your old car. Congrats!!! Cant wait to see the finished product. Oh wait it will never be finished, there will always be something else you can do to it.

nice. dual exhaust rocks, even if it's mostly for the look. it makes a nice, clean finish.

coming from a past procharged 05 v6 owner... with you have plans for anything to go over 400ish rwhp/400 rwtq .. you should invest in a 8.8 vs 7.5 w gears and lsd....

most guys have blown them around that power...
http://www.mustangcollective.com
go here for info incase you havent heard about it.. yet

I blew my motor with a procharger 13psi and a 50 wet shot..
I have a forged SSM motor, with a powerhouse turbo, and zex ... turbo was bought through PMP( if you mean piedmont modular performance in nc)i can run around 13 psi but if i go much higher im liable to blow the rear out like every one else has..

NOt saying you cant beat on it..
but dont go to crazy with a 5 spd and dr at the track....

also..

if you upgraded the intercooler you shoulda upgraded to a D-1sc ... your P1sc will be maxed out at 15 psi.. and the smallest pulley you can go 3.0 .. after that you gotta get custom pulleys done ....

Hey, thanks for the insight...

I am going to talk to Brian at THR again about the 7.5 vs 8.8 deal.

I originally wanted to upgrade to the D1SC but he said the P1SC will be more than enough for the V6.

The weak point on the 7.5s are the side carrier gears, busted 3 sets with
a n/a 302/C4 with 10 inch convertor/8x26 slicks and no bottle. The ring and pinion were never any problem.,just the carrier.2 of them were "built"and didnt make 40 passes each. This was in a 2900 lb Fairmont so I do believe you will
have some problems.

Speed Concepts - TO1010 - 2005-2007 Mustang GT 8.8 Rear End Axle takeoffs with 3.31 gears and T-lock (also direct fit on V6 models)

There is a link to a company selling 8.8 take off units from 05+ GT's. $529 plus $115 shipping.

Edit: Whoops, I now see this was already covered in post #56. Anywho, this is definitely the route I would go.
