Just wondering if you ended up going with the D1? Because its only a 300$ upgrade now, and if you didn't you'll kick yourself later!

Less is More
yeah no kidding dude i hope you can get in contact with brian at thr and ask him if its too late to upgrade to a d1. i unfortunately got mine of ebay so no upgrade possible there. but the guy from the collective flapjack is using a d1 and he claims it is way mroe efficient but you gotta use a bigger pulley because large amounts of power are capable out of that thing. and you dont want to blow your motor. plus from what he says it much quieter than the p1sc
well having a ton fo noise coming from under the hood is not always plus as well when it sounds like its trying to jump out of the engine bay. it sounds great for racing but when your just cruising it can get quite loud with a p1sc and when the hood is up it is ridiculously loud. the quieter the better for comfortable noise level. plus i think the less people know the better chance you have of them trying to constantly race you on the street. just an issue i face out here
I'm going with the P1 for now. Yes I know the P1 has it's limitations but I don't plan on going for more than what the P1 can handle anytime soon.
when I get to that point, I will upgrade it to the D1, but that will be years down the road.
true bandit. when i was told 12 psi for my kit at the price i used i was happy. by the way did you get a diablo mafia? if not i would see if you can catch brian before the install so that they dont cut any maf sensor wires and just use the mafia as an extension of your wires. its really worth it
honestly man, I'm just letting Brian do what he wants with it. He stands behind his work and I trust him.![]()
wow man becareful with that. brian has told me he ha sbroken a few driveshafts on the dyno trying to max out some cars on hp. i am also assuming that this is not yoru daily then.
LMAO ! Saying a P1 is too small is LMAO! Here is a P1SC with a forged 347. The P1 will be enuff for this build and them some!

definitely not my daily driver. I have a work truck for work, and my wife's trailblazer for off days. the stang will only leave the garage for meets, cruises, track days, etc.
So if I break something... no biggie. She'll just be parked in the garage for a while until I can afford to fix what I broke.![]()
haha yea thats what kinda sux for me. mine is my daily. so a 12 sec daily is not gonna be easy on the wallet but definitely worth the fun looks i will get from vettes and r/t chargers
you going 12psi right? if not your missing out dude. this is way too much fun. heads are turning left and right since im the only one in el paso so far. maybe next week ill get the torque converter put in and once i get the 3.73 gears and detroit trutrac ill get those put in since im too chicken to do that myself.
by the way be glad that you didnt do teh install yourself. if your not well knowledged on your car and dont have the umph to do soem serious wrench turning its a pain. luckily my family owns a hardware store so i was able to do some borrowing.
what times and hp are you guys estimating when you are done with this first stage.

well lets see a guy from the collective without headers and pegleged but dual exhaust and the 12psi procharger with a good tune was pushing 12.03 times
Yes, as 05madmax said...
We are aiming for between 350-380 rwhp on a safe tune at 10-12psi. And along with the other mods I am having done at the same time... we are shooting for high 11 second 1/4 mile times.
Of course that will take some seat time, as I have never owned a car that quick. But either way, she'll be fast.![]()

he is comparing a built 347 to a stock sohc 4L.
the 347 itself is going to make great numbers if done right.
The stock 4L is not going to make great numbers by itself, thus the need for a blower.

btw, i think the P1 combo on this project will give Jeff just what he wants.
When he gets the urge, he should just skip the D blower and go straight to an F. LOL
I believe an F1A, P1, and D1 all use the same bracket.

yea thats why im going 3.73s let me know what numbers you get. i had an issue with my injectors tonight so i gotta order some new seals. once i get that done ill probably get it datalogged and retuned by justin at vmp then to a dyno

your missing the point of my post.
look at the airflow data of a P1.

on stock internals 14 psi is very dangerous though. so 12psi is the safest without doing any internals work. the p1 is definitely more than capable of doing 12psi and at times with good ambient air temps you could see 13psi. it also depends on the efficiency of your engine. some may see lower psi numbers if the engine is pretty efficient but the same dyno numbers of the higher psi guys
You get you car delivered yet? Just wondering, I just now noticed this thread, and Brian has been telling me about your build also. He said he was looking to finish both at around the same time and deliver together. I was excited to hear about your set-up, that should frown up some GM guys a bit!!! Good luck with it!!![]()
so im assuming no numbers yet?
yeah if things fall through where justin from vmp has too much trouble tuning my car i may be paying brian a visit. so he may have some numbers to compare our two setups with. i got cut outs so he might be interested in doing a run with my cutouts open just to see any possible gains are to be had that way.
Yeah I talked with him the other day and they are trying to button mine up. He's supposed to send me some pics of the progress, cage going in and paint, motor assy.... Hopefully it won't be much longer for either of ours. That would make for a pretty neat cruise night if timing works out right! I'm chomping at the bit to get mine back! I bet you are too!! The longer it stays there the more parts I add! When I see that THR trailer I'm gonna be :Eyecrazy:... well have a great day!
dude Brian did a killer job tuning my stang i would expect no less thna 350-360 rwhp on yours since your gonna have your 3.73 gears and a 3 core intercooler. mine was a 2 core and peglegged and he managed to pull off a 345 rwhp on a street tune
Yeah, we're hopping for about 380 rwhp... considering the longtubes and full stainless-works exhaust.
But that's great to hear that he got you hooked up.
did you happen to see my car there? how did she look?
I haven't talked to Brian in several weeks. Been soo busy at work, I haven't had a chance to call him.
-jeff
Jeff, how long have they had your car?
btw-345rwhp is plenty to kill full bolt on GT's and possibly LS1's.

380? your probably gonna have to run race fuel for that one. he squeezed every lil bit he could out fo mine with 91 pump gas man.
oh and naw i didnt get to see your stang there. i did see your kit in the store front. they are waiting on the exhaust from stainless from what Brian told me. they wanna do a base then exhaust then lngtubes then procharger runs to see the numbers that each provides. this is just from what i was told.
by the way really and truly the only difference your setup will be from mine is that you will have the stainless longtubes and i have the mac long tubes and you will have 3.73 gears and the 3 core IC because other than that we are pretty much the same setup.
