It's called a MustangDyno. It not only does RWHP and RWTQ, it can also simulate different driving conditions including a standing 1/4 mile pull. Now granted there is no air drag on the car since it is standing still... not going down the track at 90+ mph. But it should be pretty close in accuracy.
yeah they could but he wanted them to go slow so he can make sure he can pay the huge bill since they are having so much stuff done at one time. Plus hes being patience that way it can be done right the first time. Since they are in el paso, which is over 500 miles away in west texas, it would suck to have to get it sent back.

The reason they did the exhaust first before anything else is...
Part of our deal was I would let him dyno my car bone, virgin, stock... then install the exhaust first... dyno that and keep the results for his records. Then install the Procharger and rearend components.
Reason for that was... he gets a ton more V6 owners looking to buy an exhaust system than he does V6 owners looking to buy a Procharger system. So having those dyno graphs of it bone-stock, and then with the exhaust and tune will help him sell the exhaust systems to more people down the road. It's just nice to be able to prove what it will do.
makes perfect sense
so they're going to make the v6 exhaust now (the lt's right?) since dimensions and stuff to go on?
Smiley face on the oil pan free of charge??
I have a car.
It has a motor.
It goes fast.
Can you help me install parts?

ooooohhhhhh kleeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnn
THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD
according to brian after the procharger the final number were approx 320
Yeah, 313rwhp... 377 SAE Corrected.
El Paso, TX is higher elevation than San Antonio, so for comparison sake I quoted the SAE Corrected numbers.
Unfortunately I do not have any copies of the dyno sheets yet because THR's printer was fried and could not print them. Brian told me he would print them and mail them to me, at which point I plan to scan and post them up.
Hmmm, 313 hp....

so in Sa will the rwhp be 377 or 313?? also whats the torque in the lower altitude of SA. Thats a HUGE difference, i had no idea that altitude played that big of a difference. i mean if it was in denver....
even at 313 you will still own alot of cars on the road

SA should be 377 I believe
Lower altitude = faster times so I would assume it would mean more power, no?
Lower altitude = more dense air = more power
El Paso, TX = Elevation: 3,740 FT (1,140 M)
San Antonio, TX = Elevation: 650 FT (198 M)
pretty big difference.
haha yeah thats the problem with el paso. elevation kills our times. it wows the crap outta people when they go to asr and run faster than in el paso. jeff nice numbers for 9# of boost.
Hi Jeff, came back and found that you have a nice 05+ V6. Nice man.
How is the procharger? I wish I was making money right now to afford
a poweradder (turbo most likely if i can get a CARB plate on it).
haha jeff you'll never guess what happened!!! they stuck the 4.10 gears in my car by accident that i had in the trunk to sell lol. so we are at the same level now haha
Hi Jeff, so I am closing in on a deal for a procharger myself.
Used of coarse. But i wish i had an income but trying to
finish up my bachelor's degree. For the procharger, it was
one of those lifetime opportunities I could pass up on.
I just need to upgrade the exhaust to 2.5in pipings and get
some suspension mods. Maybe a SFC shall do for a bit.
I will also need to upgrade to a focus fuel pump and get
a MAF extender.
I think the procharger I am getting is a 11 psi, but I want
to get a bigger pulley to downsize the boost. Like 8 should
be good. I already have an X-Cal 3 tuned by VMP Tuning.
I am still planning on doing a split port swap, and that should
take me to an estimate 280hp when all this is done.
How much power are you putting down?
I got the heads and intakes if you are doing the split port swap.
I already have the head/intakes. Thanks anyways.
he dynoed 377 SAE

i was reading up on the issue earlier about the 7.5" rearend not being strong enough. i but a frpp trac lok in my 7.5 with 4.10's and drag radials. made 3 passes and boooooooom. spider gears shattered. replaced the unit with a detroit true trac. havent had a problem since and i have some power (500+hp... thank you NO2) going to this little rear end. heres a pic of the spider gears. i welded one together for the "desk paperweight" effect.

Whoa!Thanks for the input rosstang.
So you replaced the 7.5 tlok with a 7.5 detroit true trac?
I will have to keep that in mind. I haven't run drag radials on mine yet... hell, i haven't even ran it at the track yet.
yeah the spider gears chatter under that much load, get in a bind and well......look what happened. i even sheared the retaining pin that holds the axle spacer rod in. im sure it would have happened under less of a load over time as well. the detroit true trac is $450 and you should use a new ring gear set $120 and i recommend buying the "TA" 7.5" girdle $150 to preload the main caps and a new set of bearings $100. So its not a cheap upgrade,($850) but it definately makes the clutch/transmission your next weakest link.
my co-worker uses a detroit true trac in his 1200+ hp twin turbo trans am and hasnt had a single issue since he did the swap. you can bust em. if you go to the site and look up the exploded diagram, its pretty amazing how stout they are, not to mention, when you put it toegther and load the axles, there is only small crevices for lubrication. there is no way if a ring gear looses a couple teeth, that it'll end up in there. the only thing this unit doesnt like is water. but how many times a week do you go mudding in your stang?
when ya gonna bring that s/c six to come out and play. I wanna run one just to see what it does.
