Proud New Owner of a '69 Mustang GT - any tips for car shows?

Hello to all!

I just bought my dream car two months ago, a classic Mustang. She's a 1969 GT (which I'm told there isn't that many of, don't know if that's accurate) which I named Katie Jane after my late grandmother. I might actually let my husband drive it one of these days! That's right, I'm a proud female owner (not that many of those I'm told, too).

I'd love to get a chance to put her in a show or two. Does anyone have any tips on showing a car in a car show? Any info. would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks and take care!
Holly

damn! clean '69.
I would suggest keeping the exterior nice and clean looking, also, leave it stock looking.
I would put some extra gauges and such on interior but I wouldn't mess with it much. thats a nice classic you have. def. and eye catcher.
tips for car show.
don't wash the car til morning of or night before(make sure you cover it if you do). spray the undercarriage, engine bay, everything, and put a spot free rinse, than use turtle wax or any other good wax and make it shine. basically, anything you can clean and reach, clean it.

Thanks so much for all the replies!

You guys are the best! Thanks for the replies and I'm attaching a few more pics for the ones who asked for more...tell me what you think!

And be honest, do you think it's good enough to be in a show? I've never shown a car and am worried (typical female) about being good enough to be in a show.

Thanks again guys...you rock!!!

69 GT's are a rare commodity for the simple fact that most people went for the MACH1 if they were going above the standard 69 sportsroof.

You got a hold of a good clean car

From a classic car site.:

Muscle car collectors all have their preferences of course, but there can be little debate that high level cars break down easily into two basic categories: cars that are valuable because they have always been iconic and highly sought after, and cars which are valuable because for one reason or another there were always very few. The 1969 Ford Mustang GT Fastback was being fazed out in favor of the heavily marketed Mach 1 and as a result suffered from remarkably low production numbers.
