I have the steeda's on mine. If I had to describe the difference, it's like when you have the a/c on. No dyno #'s though.

I worked on and test drove a '02 GT Wendsday that had U/D pullies and it felt slightly better than stock at higher revs. That was the only mod that it had besides flows.

I don't think it is so much a matter of how much power it free's up by themselve's.. I think you get more out of them with a modified motor and other bolt-on's.. *shrug*

Faster rev time time, usually-how much is your set supposed to be underdriven? Should be at least 20% to make substantial difference.

Yeah, sometimes it's hard to quantify the gain, but the 1/4 time, or any timed acceleration test will tell the tale. I think they are worthwhile, for the gain, and money spent.

From what I understand, Ford has gotten so aggressive with there pulley design you don't pick up as much as you used to (fox body cars). If anything, you'll get maybe 3-6 rwhp. Not something your butt meter is going to register.

on my 03 GT i picked up 1 mph in the 1/4 from steeda pulleys and timing adjuster. so about 10 rwhp from the pair.

There's a similar thread on a Mustang message board that says the same thing. No big gains with pullies on the 99-04s.

I think I just decided to take pullies off my Want List.

Well, the pulleys just got slammed. How many of you are up to a pulley comparision, on the dyno?

Just let me know-the facts will speak for themselves. BTW, 0ur dyno does have 0-60, and 1/4 testing abilities, and those tests complete the story, on gains gotten.

What do you need? Two identical cars? One car and a set of pullies?

I'm curious to see the gains. At this point, all I've heard is maybe 5-7 HP. Then some people claim problems at idle and some don't. I'm totally sold on gears but just not yet. I'm still undecided on pullies.

3-5 cars, one stock, one aftermarket on each one. This ensures repeatability on brands, and more than one car. Yes, we have to switch the pulleys between tests.

I could probably plan for being in Austin for a day. I assume you have a shop area to do the pully swaps.

Cost?
