I just got one of those flamed running pony grill emblems for my 2000 for Christmas. I open it up and the picture on the box shows the running pony with a bracket. I open the box and all that is in the box is the running pony with a sticky back. I was like :rippedoff So, being that I never really paid attention as to how the stock emblem is attached to the car, I look up on the website where the emblem was purchased. It says the 99's to 04's do not utilize the enclosed bracket. MMMkay. What the hell does it stick to then? I'm really kind of disappointed that something that costs this much money is a stick on thing.
I'm really considering returning it for something else. Any ideas on how this thing works? Anyone have any experience with them? Thanks in advance for your help.

Just another slow V6 ;)

the stock grill pony is held on by plastic rivets, these rivets hold it to a pony shaped black metal backer...
you might have to break these rivets to get the stock one off. then i guess you'd just have to stick flammed pony to the black metal backer. but yeah, i'm with you.. i'm kinda suprised that it just sticks on... figured it would be a bit more "quality" than that. ![]()

Well, if that's the case, I'm sending that puppy back and getting something else. I don't intend on keeping the car and would hate to break those rivets and have to figure how to get the stock one back on when it was time to sell her. That is one way over-priced little item if you ask me. Thanks for the help.:jeff:
