r 351 heads the shizzle?

my friends niebor has some 351w heads for sale, would these be a good upgrade for my stang??and will they work and how much hp?? :jeff:

You'll have a little gain. Its like going from a stock E7 head to a stock GT-40 head. No real big change in HP. Maybe if they were ported out the ass then maybe.

how much, i wouldnt pay much for them and you will need to adapt for the larger head bolt holes

Well that depends on what year 351 heads they are. The 69-70 351 heads are the ones you want. I have a set of 69 351 heads that I have been contemplating putting on my 5.0. With the stock valves, milled down a tad and a little gasket matching and polishing there good for give or take 25 HP. You will need special head bolts but they will work. Good budget upgrade in my opinion if you do the work yourself. If not, a set of GT40's would be better.

They do fit fine, but you will have some spark plug interference problems with them.

2 90 degree spark plug wires isnt too difficult

and a cut down socket.
