Race Bullet Mufflers

Anyone know who makes the Race Bullets that have three pipes inside of the muffler? I have Spintechs, but I want my car to sound totally obnoxious when I'm smashing! Anyway. It's a bullet style muffler with 3 pieces of pipe in them. They are arranged in a triangle and are the length of the body, you can see through them. I'd really like to find some soon so If anyone knows where to find these please let me know. Thanks

That's not the muffler, I wish I could at least find a picture of them... they look like this inside O that inside of a bullet style race muffler.

I used to run these muffles on his coupe a couple of years ago. They look similar to the Magna packs on the outside but the inside have three little pipes that arrange a triangle anyways when I had those mufflers they sounded like a freakin Race Bike but inside the car sounded like someone was blowing a horn and LOUD AS HELL thats why I took them off. Frankie though wants them, unfortunately I sold them to this guy that will not part with them. When I bought them from a guy in louisianna he told me they were XR1 Borla mufflers. I have been told they are not. These things were nasty when I ran it at Alamo Dragway just on the Burnout alone people cheered like crazy. Good luck in finding them Frankie.

I've seen the dynomax these aren't it. He is calling them race bullets because they look like them.

From what you have described I would say you are talking about the Borla XR1 racing muffler, they are stainless, expensive and hard to find. I had planned on buying some of those until I found out the price, I then desided the Dyno Max Race Magnums would work for me. I think they were like $375 each.

Thats what the guy that sold them to me told me. I swear my Nephew said he saw some and said they didn't look the same, but maybe they are. Gonna have to look at some pics of the Borla XR1's and see what they look like on the inside. Thanks and will research this then.

Just finish searching it and got confirmation from another forum from awhile back. They are XR1 Race Mufflers but they're pricey. Scroll down to maxcooper and he talks about them. Borla calls these mufflers multicore.

The ones I had looked just like these. It also calls it a multicore, the only thing that makes me weary was mine were 3" and they only offer these in 2 1/2".

you have to pay to play. You wont find xr1s for sale but maybe once a year on a mustang forum.

MAYBE on an f body forum. You are going to have to buy new if this is what you really want.

I think they were like $375 each. __________________ My car is an '85 sonic blue coupe with 302 bored and stroked to 364, Ported Twisted Wedge heads and a BXR intake, A9M ECM with a Tweecer, C4 with trans brake, Hoosier 275/60/15 drag radials, no power adders. The car is still street driven, with a best of 10.21 at 131 mph with a 1.51 60' spinning lightly off the line. With this combo it made a best of 460 hp and 410 lbs of torque at the wheels.
