ya again with the engine swap...i have a t5 high performance tans. in my car and the guy that was puttin the engine in said it would work with a 6 SPEED COBRA!!! i was like what the heck to we tried...and NO LUCK...so i would have to get the new trans again and go throuhg all that over again so i said what the heck ill just find a 5 speed 5.0 gt that will work with it...:jeff:

just so you know and don't keep posting this crazy talk.....

ALL GT AND COBRA BLOCKS ARE THE SAME....AND WILL BOLT TO THE SAME TRANS. ON SOME YOU MADE NEED A DIFFERENT BELLHOUSEING (5-SPD TO 6-SPD).

SOME 4.6 BLOCKS ARE MADE OF ALUMINUM BUT THEY ARE THE SAME SIZE.

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE YOU WILL NOTICE IS THE 8 BOLT TO 6 BOLT DIFFERENCE ON TNE CRANKSHAFT..

YOU WILL NEED A BUNCH OF OTHER PARTS......COMPUTER, WIREING HARNESS AND MISC.

BUT IT WILL FIT!!!!!! IF THE GUY DOING THE SWAP TOLD YOU THAT IT WOULD NOT....I WOULD NOT LET HIM SWAP MY WINDSHEILD WIPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok heres the STORY ABOUT THE ENGINE.... the guy at san antonio engine said "MY COMPUTER in my 98 is the same as a 04 cobra" and I HAVE MORE COMMEN scence to knwo THERE DIFRENT bc the engine it difrent but this guy said it would work so we tried and it messed everything up so word of advice and ill tell everyone else stay away from san antonio engine bc they say what they think not what they know.....and they charge $200.00 to install "motors" they do nothiing to the computer or the tans. just pop in the moter and hope it works..A WORD OF ADVICE IS STAY AWAY FROM THEM..<<<BC this is what happens.....so if you know a REAL PLACE i can get a engine installed GOOD let me know bc i want this engine swap BEFOR spring break (6 weeks)......
