re-sealing headlights

i tried to re seal my covers on my 01 gt and when i had them out i noticed i couldnt see the seem to seal the ends where the turn signal is due to the rubber strip that hugs the body. anyone know how to do this without peeling that off?

i know what he is talking about. If you take the healight out completely, around the frame of the headlight, there is a piece of rubber...to keep dirt, and water and what not OUT of your light and your engine bay. Sometimes, the silicone on said piece of rubber wears out, and needs to be "re-seald" he is saying.

Dude, get some more silicone..comes in a little tube, and just hold it on there till it sticks again. Use min vice grips and let it sit over night. You will be ready to rock afterwards, just did mine this weekend.

I re-sealed my aftermarket ones the day I got them. All the way around the entire assembly. No leaks!

Wink

I don't even have those lil' strips anymore cuz the stupid body shop lost em' and claimed they were never there... Oh well... that's customer service for you. It looks better without em' IMO.

take your headlight off, peel the rubber piece totally off, add some silicone and stick it back down
