Re-visiting the Track maybe

Well since last time ive been to the track, ive been throwin a few extra things to Black Betty.LOL But this fri the 23rd is supposed to be the last TNT night of the year till next. So im planning on heading up there Fri....if it doesnt rain...(crossin my fingers), anywho las time i had a Cai, x-pipe and SLP LM1 and 180 t-stat, I ran some low 14s and then backed it up with a couple high 13s with the best being 13.78@102, now ive added a few things (check my sig) ..and i just wanted some tips from you guys like the psi i should run in DR's, and shift points...las time i shifted at 6grand, but ive been told to shift at 5800 and some even say 5500, i guess ill have to try once there. Well aslo dont kno if it works but gonna pull my pass. side headlight and loosen up my sway bar links, ice my plenum, front tires up to 45psi for rollin resistance and powershift the hell outta her. any tips would be appreciated thanx.. ill keep yall updated of how it goes.

BTW.. what kind of numbers should i expect...mid13s?

did you get it dynoed? the graph would show the ideal shift point to keep it in the power range

looks like you should give Lethal a call!! Typically the powerband on our 2v's go down after 5800 so dont hit the red line when ya shift

If they are Nittos, it is going to be rough. I do not know that airing them down helps a whole lot...

drag radials at 15-18 psi hot

drive around water, back up and pull out, sin tires until they billow smoke and let off the brakes and then let them catch. MAKE SURE BOTH WHEELS ARE SPINNING adjustments can be made with the steering wheel to get the diff to engage if you have issues.

SHallow Stage

bring revs to 4k, do NOT worry about cutting a good light or reacting well.

pull your foot off the clutch about the same seed as if you were casually shifting gears on the street. The moment the clutch engages it will o the front nose uward. At this oint feed it enough throttle to kee it from falling below 3500 but no so much that your tires go a blaze. It may take 5 passes to find this happy median.

5800 sounds fine with your plennum,

with this cold air, i would expect you to run a 13.4 at 104 with a 1.9 at least once in the night.

Well went to the track friday and mann am i pissed. I kept runnin a string of high 13s and my best being 13.6@103, and my worst being a 14.7 .....misshifted 2nd and had a 2.6 60 ft LOL anyways my car felt like it hooked good with the Dr's but i have a bad wheel hop situation. My best 60ft was a 2.09.... but honestly my fuckin dash woould vibrate so hard when i'd launch all thru 2nd, but then on it was ok.... i've been told upper and lower control arms would fix this or adjust my pinion angle. Gosh i hope that would help. And lets jus say it did fix my wheelhop.....how much time am i prolly losing with that problem?

Dbl adjustable uppers will let you adjust pinion angle
without taking them off the car.Aftermarket lowers
with higher durometer bushings will help.
Shoot for high 1.80s to low 1.90 60s with your setup.
