Rearend Tag Question

Anyone know how to read the tag on a rearend or a website it idenify it?

Bottom line will be gear and size,ie
3 L 73 8.8 xxxxx
373 gear ,L=posi 8.8 ring gear diameter.

I believe I am reading it as an open rear end 2.47 gear ratio, 8 inch rear end.Do you have any pics of the rear end housing?

Ouch! That's a spicer rear end.Not very desirable.I'd at least try to find a 8 inch rear end from a 65-66 V8 car.You have alot more gear choices plus it is stronger than the spicer you have.
