Ok silly question but who's social do they go by when you file jointly? Cause I dont know if mines coming by mine, or by Tim's social... the money is supposed to go to my checking account if that helps.

from what i understand, it goes by who's name is first on the return. my wife's name is always first since she files it. but that works for us since her last two numbers are lower than mine.

Here is a link to the Where's My Stimulus Payment tool from the IRS website. Only catch is you can only check about a week before it is due to be sent out to you. So check the payment calendar first and then I guess it gives you more specific info. I couldn't use it yet because ours isn't due out til the last round of DD checks.
You have to know the primary filers social, filing status, and number of exemptions: Jeff, Myself, and Cam = 3....otherwise line 6D of the 1040....I had to look mine up!  Welcome to Where's My Stimulus Payment? |
