removing cd player "help"

does anybody know how to remove a cd player from a mustang year 2000 it wont let me pull it out

Did you press in the clips that hold it down through the four holes on the face of your deck?

get some nails and push them in the lttle holes to release the clips, then it will pull right out (thats how it was on my f150, i dont remember too much about my factory radio, it wasnt in long lol)

Or get a coat hanger and cut it, bend it in a loop and slip them in the 2 holes on each side. They actually make a tool and I think Wal Mart carries them for under 6 bucks I think...

werd, they work like a charm. usually have to push them in, and then pull them outwards - towards the doors, and it should slide right out.

yea i got it it came out really easy i have a screen on my car so i dont use the cd player no more so i decided to take it out

so I'll probably get some pictures posted - I'm have a cd head unit I would like to install. I obviously plan on removing the tape deck and cd player from my 1999GT. Problem is when I pulled out the tape deck - I was unfamiliar with decoding the power - ground - speaker wires. Have no idea which wires are what. Maybe with pictures and a list of wire colors I see, someone can help determine which is which.
