removing or diverting air from fan?
the shroud that covers the back of the fan is directing half of the air down and the other half up, with little to the sides.
can i remove the 'safety' shroud on the back? without it, it'd aim it mostly at the motor and up and over the intakes. i was thinking about maybe whacking off the bottom portion at least because of the fact it just puts air to the ground. |

As for the other part I was confusing the older eng driven fan vs the elec fans now. That is what I meant by farther away IE shorter motor further from rad.
