the stock 05 wheel ofset works fine with the m2 ifs superride suspension all you need to do is roll the fender slightly.

Pulled the tank, shocks, traction bars. Put it on jack stands.
I did some measuring, I think the new rear fram rails are gonna be just inside of the old ones. So I should be able to cut out just enough floor to put in theses frame rails, crossmembers and 4 link, then I can cut out the old frame and other sheet metal. Then finish the with new tubs and floor. This way I can leave the rear axle in place on the leaf springs to keep the wheelbase and basic alignment the same. After the 4 link is in place, everything else can come out. Or at least that is what I am thinking. Last edited by keg65; 07-08-2007 at 07:05 AM. |

you have a 10" wide tire in the front.
What size wheel, diameter and width? This is on the MII suspension, right? I used to have a 8.5" wide 15" wheels all around with 225/50/15 (which have a body of about 9 3/4" That was as wide that would fit in the front on the stock suspension, but they stuck out under the fender lip. Couldn't have more backspacing, it would hit the ball joint and the frame at full turn I want at least 9.5" wide wheel in front, but completely inside the fender, so it can't rub throughout the travel. Looks like a 11.5 wheel in the rear, all 17" dia. |
