It feels like it was yesturday. As I sit here and watch Good Morning America and as they read the names of all the people who lost thier lives it still brings a tears to my eyes. Do you know what you were doing 5 years ago today?? I still do very vividly.

strips in the face of danger
|
yes at the time the first one hit i was still asleep and even when i left for school i didn't turn the radio on. I drove to school, went into the computer lab before i went to class and turned on the tv. I didn't find out till almost 9am. At that point nothing else seemed important.

+1 to all the above
I was serving on active duty in the Army when the attacks happened. I was doing PT at Ft Lewis, WA when I got the news. What a sad and horrible day that will forever be etched in our minds. My heart continues to go out to the families of the victims of that day and to the Service Members that continue to lose their lives as they fight in the Global War on Terrorism. |

werd. tis a sad day today... let's fill it with prayer (those of us who do) AND always remember what happened...
lol... I went to school like any normal day; but this day my friend was freaking out saying that we're all going to die and stuff, but I blew her off because she normally did that... then when it came time for morning announcments, my principal told us everything... we didn't do anything that day, just watch TV |

I was at work, and was called into the break room. We watched as the 2nd plane hit the 2nd tower. We spent most of the day glued to the tv, about 20 of us huddled in a small room around a 12" shitty tv. My shop was on the ship channel. All day, there were coast guard boats, and F16s flying up and down the ship channel all day. Exxon is minutes from where I lived, and was (and still is) high up on the list of terrorist targets within the US. The ship channel is lined with refineries and chemical plants. The feeling of anger, and combined with fear, was indescribable.
