Rita Messed this place up bad

Man this place is in badshape,...I was able to get through the roadblocks with my i.d. tag to get into here (nederland right by beaumont). Looks like a war zone,..ill post picks up tomorrow. Right now im at the Market Basket HQ running off generators. I just cant believe what it looks like here,...kind of a shock,...but hopefully the power here will be restored soon,..sleepin with no ac sucks!! Ohwell,..i'll update tomorrow curfew is near.

Nederland huh? Be careful dude. I went to Orange Wednesday since my family is in the triangle, and it was all messed up, but lots of houses were still standing. It was hotter than the surface of the sun with all the humidity. Be careful if you do some outside work.

Had a guy from Florida cruising the neighborhood. He quoted my brother $12,000 (yep, that's right) to remove all the fallen trees in his yard. I think we are just going to equip everyone with a chainsaw and have a go at it.

Yea its pretty hot out here, and must say,..I'm getting tired of cutting up limbs and cutting down destroyed trees.

Some pics arent much to look at,..took them for friends sake,..but most should be of totaled buildings or buildings substaining heavy damage.

Man thats some bad stuff to look at, my wifes family is from all over that area and last year I was living in Nederland for work. Hopefully they get things restored soon.

Yea,..everything will be fine,..the people from the electic companies are working very hard and around the clock to get power restored here,..and they are doing a fine job,..its almost back to normal here,..just waiting for th major businesses to open back up .
