    Rockwall, TX

Im thinking of maybe moving there in a couple of years. Wondering if anyone here on the forum is from there. Whats it like, I see on the citys' website that is a smaller community on the shore of a nice lake. Anyways, just wondering if anyone here could give me some 411. Thanks, Don.

It's a nice area. One of the first "high dollar" areas outside of Dallas. It's pretty small, but you are pretty close to the big city. Overall, it's a nice place to live.

Rockwall has come a long way for a small bedroom community. Roads and shopping have been improving at a fast pace. I love Rockwall...we have awesome views overlooking the lake.

The Rockwall area is good the Texas motor speed way is only 35 mins and at least 2 drag strips 20-30 mins off. As for the lake it is OK not the best but water to ski on..

I live in Rockwall and have since 2003, roads started out small, then they were bad and now theyr are nice and wide... Quite town, Police do a great job, schools are outstanding, taxs are high, if you fish or boat its right on the lake, over all nice palce to live. Needs a Stang club
