LoneStarStangs.com RULES -- please read

This is a basic set of guidelines we'd like everyone to follow to ensure the board runs smoothly.

Flaming, Bashing, and Trolling:

Hate posts and personal attacks will not be tolerated on the boards. Treat others on these message boards as you would expect them to treat you. Posting topics specifically designed to provoke a negative response from someone (aka trolling) is also asked to be avoided.

Spam:

Purposely spamming a message board with senseless, vacuous, or empty messages to gain a higher post count, or just to annoy others is HIGHLY frowned upon! Commercial spamming and advertising are just as unwelcome, Commercial offers are only allowed in the Classifieds forum.

Profanity:

Profanity is not tolerated in the board, some words will be censored, also there is to be no name calling, doing so will give you a warning, and then a ban if you continue.

Off-Topic Posts:

There is no major punishment for off-topic posters. But lets be honest, it drives us all mad!! If you have something to say but it really has nothing to do with the current thread you are in, please open a new thread for it.

Circumventing a Locked Thread

If one of your theads is locked, please do not start another thread dedicated to why was your thread locked. If you have a problem with your thread being locked, please send me a private message describing the problem.

Circumventing a Ban:

Any violation of the RULES may result in a warning. A moderator or administrator will provide you with your warning via a private message. The next violation will result in the banning of your account, without notice. If you log onto the forums and receive a message that you have been banned, please submit an unban request and wait for a staff member to get in touch with you. You may NOT re register under a new name if the software lets you. But, if you try to sign up again and we caught you, then it will become a permanent IP Ban. We do NOT send out notices that you have been banned.

Nudity/Porn:

Please remember that this board is a PUBLIC forum. There are 12 year olds here just as there are 50 year olds. Nudity and porn is prohibited for obvious reasons. Pictures with women posing in/on/around Mustang(s) may be acceptable, as long as they are clean, show no nudity, and not too provocative. These threads must be labeled with a *WW* (standing for Work Warning) in order to protect those surfing the site at work and/or those that may be offended by such pics. The LSS Moderation Team reserves the right to delete pics/threads that contain pics/material that does not fit within these guidelines. So if in doubt, you can always pm/email a Moderator/Admin the pics in question and wait for a response of approval before posting them.

Signatures, Avatars, and Custom Titles

No Work Warning pictures are allowed in your signatures/avatars, this includes bikini type pictures.
No advertising for businesses in your signature/avatar unless you are a paid sponsor of LoneStarStangs.
No advertising, flames, cuss words, slurs, etc. allowed in Custom Title
Please keep your signature to a reasonable size.

A moderator will quickly delete your signature/avatar/custom title if you break this rule.

Businesses Advertising on LoneStarStangs

If you are a business and not a paying sponsor of LoneStarStangs.com you are not allowed to sell any type of merchandise on LoneStarStangs, nor promote your business in posts, threads, custom title, or signature.

If you are organizing or hosting an event that generates profit, and you are not a paying Event Sponsor of LoneStarStangs, you are not allowed to promote your event in posts, threads, signatures, avatars, or custom titles. Special event sponsorship rates are available upon request. Please contact the Administrator (bandit) for details.

Posts regarding Street Racing:

The mission of LonestarStangs.com is to provide an entertaining, informative, progressive and socially conscience website, who opinions and views are meant to encourage positive behavior. The site further regards any illegal activity by its members as unacceptable and will not tolerated.

We feel that the enjoyment of our automobiles in a safe, legal and responsible manner can only benefit this site and its members. Therefor, any material dealing with "street racing" will be immediately deleted and the member responsible for its contents will be warned. Any further material posted by said member will result in a "ban" of that member by administration for a predetermined amount of time.

"Street Racing" will be defined as one or more motor vehicles involved in a competition of either time, speed or distance while in a public place and/or on a public roadway.

Questionable Content:

Since we can't have a rule to cover everything, this is the rule to, well, cover everything. These are public boards, so act like you would if you were in a public place. These issues are left to the discretion of our moderators and/or admin, but may include any material that is knowingly false and or defamatory, misleading, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, racist, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, that otherwise violates any law, or that encourages conduct constituting a criminal offense.

Rules for Classifieds section:

General Rules:

No solicitation allowed. This area is for individuals to buy/sell goods. Anyone interested in becoming a sponsor can contact a mod or admin for further information.

The sale of firearms (or firearm accessories) is not allowed in this forum. Any questions regarding this rule can be directed at the Administrator (bandit). Any and all threads pertaining to the sale/purchase of a firearm will be deleted.

The LoneStarStangs Staff hold the right to remove and/or delete any thread or post they deem inappropriate. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Administrator (bandit).

Sellers,

All sales must include a price. (Adding pics and good item descriptions will help sell your item)

Please limit your posted threads to one (1) thread per item or items you are selling. If you wish to change the original asking price, please edit the original thread to show the new price. Do not start a new thread for the same part. Any multiple threads will be locked/deleted by a Moderator.

Buyers,

Please do not respond unless you are bidding, have intent to buy, have a question, or are adding something useful to the thread. Please try not to Lounge-ify the Classifieds. Any posts similar to "Man, that is way over priced" or "You can buy that cheaper somewhere else" will be deleted and you will receive a PM asking not to do that again.

Obviously, only bid if serious. Those that continuously bail out of paying for items or services won't be tolerated. Withdrawing from a purchase is acceptable from time to time. No one will fault you if your water main breaks or your house burns down and you don't have the time or money to be dealing with car parts!
