Basic description of stock cats..

Catalytic Converter Design

Performance cats have stainless steel cores inside with less restrictions and materials.

Not to be a shit, but as many questions that you ask, you should also take the time to either run searches or use google for information. There is a plethora of knowledge out there and can answer 90% of your questions faster.

Ok... I read that and doesn't answer what I just asked you. And I ask you because you're the one who brought up the fact that they're not like OEM. Are you saying that since they're free flowing, they cause more fluctuations in the air/fuel mix or response time of the o2's? And if you're not allowed to ask questions about mustangs on mustang forums... then what's the point of even having it??? You don't have to reply, you can always go talk about Cody's mom or something...

Actually, I have answered many of your questions, I have never said anything on what you can and cannot ask, yes this is a forum, but from my perspective, you do ask (as well as Cody, although he asks 10x more then you do) lots of questions. Sometimes self education is best, sometimes it is not.

Stock OEM cats (as the link I posted) tells you what materials are used and I suggested a google search for more info.
Your cats have a stainless steel core which does not have the same materials, basically, like a giant MIL eliminator in a sense.

Without adding more confusion on your part and typing things that I think you should have a basic knowledge of or want to attain, I'll just in the future, not post in your threads.
Other member or google can assist you better then I, I guess.

I know you've answered, and you are typically the one with the best answers. That's why I ask! I'm a NOOB with these cars. I only have 400 posts compared to his 4000 and I've been on here longer. I've only asked questions when I have a functionality issue... I won't bug you with questions about what bumper or color looks better. This is stuff I want to learn from a "teacher", because self education in this area either messes things up more or costs a lot of money to fix. I'll try and search more... SORRY! I'll probably just have to take it back to PSI this coming week and see what they think.

Ok so just got back from hanging out with some friends... and after opening her up a lil'... the engine light went off. I had a feeling this might happen, similar to how it ran on the dyno Dean when you had to keep revving it waiting for the o2 to pick up the reading. Just that slow response needing a good wakeup call... I don't know... but it's off for now... I'll still look into replacement cats possibly...

Yes with the scaner hook up to a laptop and the proscanner software you can montior everything you need.

Or if you have a live wire you can display it.

who cares if u ask questions.. thats what a forums for. the reason i personnaly dont google stuff is because u cant always trust what u read.. so why not post it and have someone who knows answer it. if u dont wanna answer questions jody then dont click on the threads. it takes u longer to type these damn dissertations about google than it would for u to just say.. oh i know this, and answer.

that's pretty cool, i wasn't aware that it could work like that.. i just use my snap-on vantage because it's real time... i'm guessing through the hand helds, it's data logging, not actual real time... but in the end, any of these methods would work to test an o2 sensor...

my sniper data log software had a pid for testing o2s i think. and its a ton cheaper than the live wire lol. and its real time on the lap top or it looks like it atleast lol. i can see the gauges n stuff moving with mine.

No it is real time data and you save the log to play it back.

how can you get real time through the dlc? i guess i'm being mislead somewhere, i was under the assumption that through the dlc you will always have a 3-5 second delay.

that's awesome, i've been learning a lot of diagnostic stuff, and i guess it's the scanner that has the delay.. that's pretty cool... it would be hard to drive a car around with a labscope hooked up, a livewire or the other thing would be much easier to get real time... do you know of anything i can use on a fox for similar results?
