well my car is now running on 4 cylinders. 1 and 5 are not working so the car is barely running. there is also a loud tapping noise coming from the drivers side of the engine (well thats where it sounds like its coming from) we replaced the coil packs and that didnt help.

any advice? anything we should check
its at 99stangs house and its not going to be turned on unless its to check to see if we fixed it. but otherwise it needs to be towed places. lethal is closed for the weekend for pinks so the earliest i could take it there is tues, but i have prom sat and was hoping to have my car for that and the bbq at landa on sunday so any advice would be helpful.

nothing. i was just driving normally and then BAM. everything started to shake my rpms shot up a little bit and then came down and the car was hard as hell to drive and everything was shaking violently. it was running perfectly (except for the ongoing idle problem lethal has been trying to fix) up until then

hope you get it working. sounds like it happened at a bad time. this is one of the reasons why modding a car sucks even though its making the v8 hp, the car is very unstable. maybe you should try and pm or call jody. (hes my vote for lss mechanic of the year. eveyone always bring his name up when it comes to repairs)

ya it happened at a horrible time.

and i didnt even think about callin jody even though he works right across the street from the neighborhood where my car is

hah i know its a joke its all good. and ya jody isnt cheap but hes a great mechanic. ill talk to him and see if he can figure it out, but i dont really have a way to get it the 1/2 mile to his shop. well.. its more like 1/4 mile haha. but still im not pushing it all that way :P

well the worst that could happen with the problem is that those 2 cylinders are dead and we would have to replace the pistons and heads so then ill convince my parents just to sell it and let me get a v8.

im puttin down that much power anyways. (but they dont know that)
