My condolences and prayers go to his family, but we should all thank him for his service to the country.

He's a hero

This is a tribute to all those who have served... especially those who have given their lives for our freedom.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed. It's quite an impressive sight. Be sure to scroll down and check out the multiple photos (all angles) of the rock. It looks like the flag was draped over the rock, but it's not. It's actually painted on the rock too.

Here's the artist Ray "Bubba" Sorensen.

AWESOME Work, RAY ...Thank you!

God Bless America , our soldiers & our vets

Maybe a small phrase or remembrance can be posted at the bottom of the acrylic block on a little brass plaque.

Just some ideas!!!

Some people have been getting some really cool tats in memory of Darrell. I thought I would share them with you. I sure miss his smiling face.

i won't be there, i live in california.

but when i have to look at the pictures of the marines we lost this last deployment, i damn near start crying.

you guys have no idea what it's like having to talk to the family of a guy you saw sniped 40 ft away from you and how his death was 100% preventable but not let on to the family.

i am not emotional by nature when it comes to these things i thought but this stuff has hit me hard. the memorial ceremony made me bawl and bawl and bawl. fuck i'm about to now.

austin
