I've never even heard of AHRA....... sounds to me like NHRA pulled out
It looks like AHRA has been around since the 50s and is trying to make a come back, hopefully this means good things for us racers.

AHRA was some of the BEST RACING there was way back.
We had a SS/4PA record at one time with a 55 Chevy.
It will be catering more to the Sportsman side of things
(read that little guy).A welcome alternative as the N is
mostly worried about the Pro stuff and the I is going for
Monster trucks,bands,big show stuff next year.
I look for the A to get rolling between now and March or so
(I hope it does anyway).

tulsa raceway park is on the reunion tour schedule also for sept 17,18,and they just changed to nhra sanction from ihra recently.dan the track owner of tulsa commented that nhra already contacted him about the ahra date and all he had to say was,"houston, we have a problem".

I saw on their site they are moving the race back until May due to the fact that the dragstrip will be just changing over to AHRA sanctioning in Feb.
